Power Juice Performance Module with Attitude Monitor |
The Edge Juice is a completely
weatherproof module that easily install underneath the hood. In just
10 minutes you can add four levels of adjustable power, ranging from
40 to 90 horsepower and increases torque up to 250 ft-lbs. With the
addition of the Attitude monitor you can add five levels of adjustable
power. Unlike other products on the market, The Juice Module allows
for moving power to be put to the ground under all conditions without
transmission slippage or ''limp mode''. The Juice communicates along
the engine's CAN-Bus data stream, from which it recieves vital engine,
transmission, and fuel system information. This enables the Juice
to provide smooth and precise power curves that are truly custom,
rather than just an offset from stock.
The Juice monitors transmission slippage when the torque converter
clutch is engaged. The additional power is decreased if any slippage
is detected. This helps prevent damage to the transmission, and also
prevents the power train from erroneously generating fault codes and
entering ''limp mode''. The juice limits the amount of power increases
during transmission shifts when the torque converter clutch is engaged
and also when the torque converter clutch to engage without slippage
which cause ''limp mode''. When the torque converter clutch is engaged,
fifth gear on the Allison 1000 transmission will hold about 680 ft-lbs
of torque before slipping. Gears 2-4 with the torque converter clutch
engaged have never slipped in Edge's testing (They have tested over
900 ft-lbs of torque with no slippage). Without the sophisticated
transmission monitoring that Juice performance, the total power increases
would need to be limited to the weakest conditions to prevent ''limp
mode''. Not only does it give you significant power gains but it greatl
improves responsiveness and driveability, while at the same time increasing
fuel economy. The Juice also allows you to control fueling at various
boost levels for improved driveability and provides cold engine protection.
